u can get it wit almost any guitar.... but Fender Strats are really good for jazz.... check out line 6 amps... they usually have some good jazz settings

Exactly like jazz. you have to try in any store an acoustic amp,playing any Hallow body electric guitar.
Try either a Fender,or Roland amp. Guitars are many on the market, I leave it up your budget.

I use several guitars and only two amps..
I use my Archtops(Guild and Gibson) and I have a custom Telecaster that was set up for jazz,but lighter gauge strings. Incredible sound. For amps I have a Roland and a Fender Twin.
Those are what I would use If I had the money to buy them. I got a chance to borrow them and use to play live and record on a CD and holy crap did it sound great.
Hollow-body guitars are good for some types of Jazz, but depending on your style you can play almost any guitar and amp combo and make it sound good.

Buncha' good guitars. I understand the Epiphone semi hollow is good for the money. For an amp you can't go better than a Fender Twin Reverb. I just bought my second one. Love it.
