I love Jazz, its my passion. Having said that you cant go wrong with Miles and he has done so much work that even if your an avid Mile's fan you still could come across something you havent heard. John Coltrane is great, Stanley Turrentine, Freddie Hubbard, Dave Brubeck, and Wes Montgomery. Those are just a few greats, but being a guitarist my absolute favorite would have to be George Benson. He's incredible.

I know exactly what you mean! Dave Koz was the one who did it for me too. You seem to be going for a more contemporary jazz style. Some other artists you may like:

Candy Dulfer (Funked Up! is a great album)

Brian Culbertson (Live From the Inside)

Dave Koz (Pretty much every song he's ever played)

Eric Darius (Modern pop fusion style)

The Sax Pack

David Benoit

The Rippingtons

I'll leave you with that, but I have many more. Just PM me if you want to hear some more suggestions.
